The PORTech MV-372 is a VoIP GSM Gateway with a dual channel. This makes the PORTech MV-372 able to use call termination (VoIP to GSM) and call orgination (GSM to VoIP). The PORTech MV-372 is completely compatible with Asterisk, the PORTech MV-372 connects as a SIP trunk which makes it cheaper to contact mobile phones via the SIM card. The PORTech MV-372 can support two SIM cards so it will support two GSM channels at a time. The PORTech MV-372 is compatible with most areas worldwide as it is a quad-band device.
The PORTech MV-372 is capable of receiving calls from all users whether that is mobile or landline. The PORTech MV-372 can also forward calls via the internet to a VoIP gateway, IP PBX or ITSP after this process it will send the call to the phone system and it can be answered by a SIP phone, anolog phone, PSTN or a mobile phone. You can configure everything for the MV-372 via using the Web interface.
When a user dials the SIM card’s phone number in the PORTech MV-372 a simple 2-stage dialling process takes place. The PORTech MV-372 will send a dial tone to the user then, DTMF signalling is used to get the call to the desired destination. The PORTech MV-372 will then route the call via VoIP or GSM so that the call can be answered by the correct person
