Polycom-CX500 Microsoft Lync (OCS) IP Phone

The Polycom CX500 is a standalone IP phone that comes with embedded Lync 2010 software. The Polycom CX500 looks and feels like a traditional phone, so using it is very convenient and straightforward. The Polycom CX500 has a large coloured screen display that will show call information and call contact directory information. The 12 button dial pad is just like the traditional phone layout, along with buttons for adjusting volumes and other basic controls. LED indicators provide useful information like ringing, a call on hold, call in progress, speaker status and mute status. The user interface has support for many languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Asian languages like Japanese, Korean and Chinese

The basic software features of the Polycom CX500 include managing contacts and photos. It also has support for teleworker and Standard Enterprise IP-PBX. When shipped, the package comes with a USB cable, 7 ft ethernet cable and a stand. An optional tamper resistant wall mount can be added for flexibility purposes, as well as an AC Power Kit for providing external power to the unit

Because of the embedded Lync software, you don’t need to connect this unit to a computer in order to use it. In fact, you can easily deploy Polycom CX500 units in public areas like lobbies and hallways without any hassle. Just install it in a Lync Server 2010 environment and you are ready to make calls anytime. Connectivity is available through a single Ethernet 10/100 BaseT cable, or via PoE Ethernet
