The Grandstream HandyTone 503 Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) has 1 FXS port and 1 FXO Port which means it has multiple capabilities. As the Grandstream HandyTone 503 has a FXS port it can integrate analog devices like telephones and fax machines into a VOIP system. Also the Grandstream HandyTone 503 has an FXO port which means it can connect a IP Phone to a BT Line
The Grandstream HandyTone 503 has a number of advanced features such as 3-way conference calling, blind and attended transfer, caller ID, call waiting, DND (do not disturb), voicemail and MLS voice prompts
The Grandstream HandyTone 503 also has the ability to work with Fax machines as it supports T.38. The Grandstream HandyTone 503 also supports a number of other codecs such as G.711, G.723.1, G.729A/B, G.729E, G.726-40/32/24/16 and iLBC
