With the presence of IP DECT access points, calls are easily handed off from one station to another, thereby making sure calls are uninterrupted

Full roaming support is enabled in every Aastra 630D mobile IP phone unit. Even with the presence of multiple Aastra 630D mobile IP phones all operating at the same time, DECT technology checks and ensures that communication channels are constantly being shifted, eliminating interferences. Advanced authentication and encryption features are included, providing an error-free and secured communication link. As many as 512 Aastra 630D handsets can be deployed with an area, all connected by up to 256 IP access points

Because Aastra 630D units are designed to be mobile, it is constructed for rugged environments. The unit itself can withstand accidental falls from as high as 2 meters down to concrete floorings. The enclosure is also moisture proof and is protected from dust ingress

The Aastra 630D also comes with a built-in Bluetooth interface, allowing it to connect with other Bluetooth enabled devices and gadgets. For example, it is possible to connect the Aastra 630D wirelessly to cordless headsets
