The Aastra 620D features a large 2 inch graphic coloured display. It has up to eight programmable keys so you can have instant access to frequently used functions. It has a contact directory that is capable of storing up to 5 different pieces of information per contact, namely: office and private number, mobile number, email address, and ring tone assignment that can be used to easily identify the caller. The phone keypad can be illuminated, making it useful even in dark areas

The Aastra 620D is equipped with Bluetooth technology. This wireless technology is useful when connecting to the Bluetooth enabled devices like a headset

The standard battery pack that comes with the Aastra 620D is a high quality lithium-ion battery. For heavy users who need regularly use this IP phone for important calls, there is an optional power battery that can provide as much as 200 hours of operating time. The battery unit can be charged through the USB port of a computer. It can also be charged using standard USB chargers that are available commercially. When answering calls, removing the Aastra 620D from the charger automatically puts the IP phone in call receiving mode. The built in intelligent battery management feature ensures that the unit is being used efficiently, in order to prolong the life of the battery packs

Another great feature of the Aastra 620D is that it uses DECT technology for its wireless connectivity. This means that multiple DECT access points can be deployed throughout the office and campus, giving Aastra 620D users continuous coverage and high quality voice communication. DECT technology also provides a more secure and robust communication line for Aastra 620D users by utilising powerful encryption routines

The Aastra 620D comes with different user controls that can be configured for maximum productivity use. Adjustable ring tone volume, as well as ring tone muting, can be easily controlled. The illumination time for the keypad and display can be adjusted separately. Advanced software features like automatic firmware upgrades and self diagnostic functions are integrated within the Aastra 620D unit. You can also lock the phone unit with a 4 digit PIN. Moreover, the Aastra 620D screen interface has support for different languages like English, German, Danish, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, among others
