The Aastra 610D is a handy mobile IP phone that utilises DECT wireless technology for quality voice communication within the enterprise network. It can be used for communicating with colleagues who are within a single campus. The Aastra 610D can also connect business employees who are in different locations, such as in the retail business

The Aastra 610D features a big LCD monochrome screen with is backlit. Its 176 x 160 pixel view fits nicely on the 2” screen for better readability. The backlight time can be configured, as well as the contrast. Dimming functionality is included in order to maximise battery life. 44 polyphone coupled with 8 standard ring tones lets you select different melodies. You can even customise your Aastra 610D by creating up to 5 programmable profiles, each with different settings that you can apply in different work scenarios. For example, you can have a profile called meeting, that sets the phone to silent operation; or how about a profile called loud, which you can use outdoors to make sure you hear the calls even with noise around you

The Aastra 610D is capable of storing up to 200 contacts in its memory, with each contact information containing up to 5 field entries. You can use this feature to store office and private contact numbers, a mobile number, an email address and ring tone assignment. The last entry allows you to personalise incoming call tones such that you can easily identify your caller even before you have a visual look at the phones screen

Utilising the power of DECT wireless technology, every Aastra 610D is capable of crystal clear voice conversation that goes uninterrupted. Problems that exist in other cordless phones like dropped calls and interferences are virtually non-existent under this type of wireless technology. With full roaming support, users need not worry about finding a suitable area where there is a stronger signal. Future expansion is also made less complicated with the DECT technology by simply adding more DECT access points as the company grows

On top of the slim design and compactness of the Aastra 610D handset is a full featured keypad that offers a wealth of functionality for its users. The keys can be programmed in many ways for instant access and calls. It also incorporates an SOS key that can be used for emergency speed dialing purposes. The phone itself was designed to be dustproof, ideal for use in rugged environments
